Sesame seeds also are known as Bennie Seeds, or Till (to Indians) are oil seeds grown mostly in tropical regions of the world. The oil content of sesame seed is high, between 44% – 60% of the grain weight. It’s low cholesterol content made it widely applicable in the food, pharmaceuticals and nutraceutical industries. Others cosmetics, lubricants, inks, paints and insecticide industries.

Ethiopia, Sudan, Nigeria, and Burkina-Faso are the leading sesame producing countries in Africa. At Capital Merchants Inc., we specialize in the supply of the Nigerian grade sesame seed which is rich in high oil content.Based on their color difference, Nigerian sesame seed can be classified into two (2) types namely: the white/raw and brown/mixed varieties. The white variety is usually regarded as the bakery industry while the brown variety is referred to as the oil grade used in the production of sesame oil.
